I have been meaning to reply to you for a few days now and I’m so sorry that I’ve been so busy. As far as Diary goes, it’s an extremely intricate piece. I’m almost disappointed when people take guesses as to why the Queen does what she does because I think that’s the beauty of her character even I, the author, have no idea what she’s going to do. She just does it and I find out about it later.

The darkness in the fic takes a lot to bring out. I’m not generally a very dark person, I’m actually quite light hearted. I like to play and have a good time and I smile a lot which is why it’s strange to write something so distinctly dark. It’s apart of why Diary takes so long to write in the first place. The other part is that I work and go to school full time.

I get a lot of flak over Diary especially the early chapters. The almost sexual nature the Queen has that comes out even to Emma at such an early age combined with her distinct ownership of her makes for a very interesting contrast that a lot of people can’t grasp. Or they do and they take away something that falls in the black area of human consciousness. I’ve always said and I’ll say it again Regina isn’t black or white. She’s gray and Emma is beginning to fall into that gray area as well. I only hope my readers do realize that’s the nature of Diary. That people aren’t distinctly black or distinctly white. We’re all shades of gray and we aren’t going to fall into the little cookie cutter boxes some want to put us in.

After finals are done dear. Those have to come first.

Oh guys. Diary is about to get even darker than it has been. I hope you are up for it. It’s likely to cause a lot of hate mail for me.
